We celebrate Veterans Day on Monday. Many may not know that Military Personnel share numerous professional tasks other that shouldering a weapon and being engaged down range as assigned. One such skill is that of a trainer (you say educator). A professional Trainers, we are responsible for every detail a task requires and the assurance that each learner be it enlisted or officer clearly understand its function and its relationship to the purpose intended. In addition to Veterans Day the Nation is also focusing on American education Week. Unfortunately the learner and his 0r her clearly and effectively receiving the information, especially that which will play a major role as the personal readiness and the Nations effectiveness seems to have little effect when a curriculum is designed. How is it that the same Nation has two different requirements for its citizens? Bearing such as Consistency, Loyalty, and Devotion must transcend all lines. Professionalism and Character must be the prerequisites for excellence. Anticipation, Coordination, and verification also must be levels which show appreciation of the intended and the result given. Fossils: The replica of what was. Be ever mindful; that what was or is stems from Perception. Results are often persuaded. There are fossils in both Private and Parochial schools as there are in Public Schools. Fossils tend to be in one spot spouting information and due to position power have no concern as to it resonating with valor. In all walks of Life, there are fossils. I am asking all Veterans especially those who are educators, to use your military Bearing and your Candor to assist whether in Public, Private, or Parochial Learning Centers.
