We celebrate the 3 time All-star, 2 time AL Homerun Champion, 1996 World Champion New York Yankee, Cecil Fielder. Big Daddy turns 51 tomorrow, born in Los Angeles California. Plays his high school sports for the Nobles of Nogales High School, in La Puente California. He is a 31st pick of the Orioles in 1981, he does not sign. He is drafted again by the Kansas City Royals in the June secondary draft in 1982. His first professional baseball team would be the Butte Cooper Kings. On February of 1983, he is traded to the Toronto Blue Jays. He breaks into the big leagues with the Blue Jays in 1985. Plays in the ALCS against the Royals in 1985. On December 22nd 1988, the Blue Jays will sell his service to the Hanshin Tigers of the Japanese League. He plays 1 season in Japan. In January of 1990, he is signed has a free agent by the Tigers. That season, he would be an American League All-star. He has an AL best 51 homeruns, 122 rbis. He is awarded a silver slugger awards. 1991, he is an American League All-star again, He leads the AL in homeruns(44) and rbis (122), he awarded the silver slugger. 1992, his 124 rbis is an American League best. He is named an All-star again in 1993. July of 1996, he and Matt Drew are traded to the Yankees for Ruben Sierra. He earns a World Series ring with those Yankees in 1996. After the 1997 season, he goes free agent and signs with the Angels. He plays in 133 games for the Angels in 1998. He is released by the Angels and Fielder finishes with 14 games with the Cleveland Indians.
