We challenge anyone and everyone who has an opinion about #Ferguson to take the Implicit Association Test and find out exactly how much you lean one way or the other in your biases with regard to one race or another. Then, if you score anything other than no bias, do the work to get yourself to the no bias position. Bias is so deeply rooted in the fabric of our national consciousness -- to say nothing of our laws or our institutions -- that nothing will budge until we address that (and because the website collects anonymous data on everyone who takes the test, you can see where we stand as a whole community). We have to collectively move the needle on this, because everything in the material world begins at the level of hearts and minds. Spread the word.
