We commend Mayor de Blasio, Chancellor Carmen Fariña and the Office of Labor Relations for restoring the collective bargaining process in New York City and showing respect for public workers. We’re heartened to note how swiftly the city came to an agreement with the UFT and we look forward to examining that contract carefully and addressing how it will affect you, our principals, assistant principals, education administrators and supervisors. CSA contract negotiations with the City of New York began in earnest yesterday. We will negotiate a fair contract for you that addresses your challenging jobs and includes long overdue retroactive salary increases.
