We continue our profiles of Fundraising Leaders with Steven and Shan! Since 2011, Steven has served on the Board of Directors for the San Francisco AIDS Foundation and first rode in AIDS/LifeCycle 2013. He is a staff member at the Frameline (LGBT) Film Festival and the author of Gore Vidal: A Bibliography 1940-2009. He lives in San Francisco with his husband Jim, and is a huge Kermit the Frog fan. Gulshan wrote, I’m Gulshan but you can call me Shan! This will be my second year as a rider on AIDS/Lifecycle and I am so excited. As a member of a tightly knit community I experienced an amazing level of support for my first year both in fundraising and training. I am dedicated to helping others learn to fundraise so they too can have a similar experience and help with the amazing services at the Los Angeles LGBT Center. I have set my goal to $10k and I’m on a mission to reach beyond that goal. What is a Fundraising Leader (FRL), you might ask? FRLs are veteran riders who have proved, one way or the other, that they know what it takes to raise funds! They are here to assist rookie and veteran riders alike in need of a little extra help reaching their fundraising goals.
