We continue to celebrate the museums anniversary this week with tonights Art Moment. During construction of the Nelson-Atkins, the 22 acres of grounds were thoughtfully developed into a park with plantings and paths designed to draw visitors in from the area streets, neighborhoods and shops. It wasnt until 1989 that the park became a focus for sculpture when it opened as the Henry Moore Sculpture Garden and then became the Kansas City Sculpture Park in 1996. Renamed for Donald J. Hall in 2013, the park is home to 36 sculptures including the latest addition of Glass Labyrinth by Robert Morris.
