We continued our walk through the Ten Commandments tonight by taking a look at number nine - Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor. In other words, thou shalt not lie. Its probably safe to say that we do not murder, steal, or worship false gods. But God places lying right with those other types of sin. Since there are no big sins or little sins, that means if you lie, then God views your sin the same as someone who does commit murder. There are few things that the Bible says God hates, and lying is one of those things. May this truth convict our hearts and control our tongues.
