We decided a little trip to the US would be "fun" on our last day in the Falls. After an hour wait in line for the border we get to the booth and we totally forgot we had firewood an axe and a propane tank in the back of the truck. (Northerners know these are necessities when camping) Needless to say we were quickly moved to a different kind of booth where we were looked at as terrorist and one Officer even yelled at the kids in the back to " PUT THE CELLS PHONES AWAY NOW"and sent back to Canada with a white slip stating we were denied entry into the US. Gas for trip to US border and back $2.00, toll to re-enter Canada $3.25 look on Border Control Officers face when he opened the tail gate. PRICELESS also the silence from my 3 kids after being yelled at by Officer to put cell phones away DOUBLE PRICELESS. The time it took before the kids asked if we could dump the wood, axe and propane tank and try again, 2 minutes after we paid the toll to re- enter Canada. Our answer synchronized. "NO".
