We decided to take the train to from Ottawa to Niagara Falls because none of us have traveled by train before. We thought it would a fun experience until the lady behind us with obvious mental issues started harassing the kids to the point that Riley started crying and the attendants had to threaten to remove her from the train. So today our family vacation turned into another learning opportunity to teach Riley about how mental illness affects people and that her issues had nothing to do with his behaviour (I think he is thinking he did something wrong) and that we just happened to have been seated next to her, becoming her targets with me being a conspirator in a plot against her. So thankful for the health of our family (physical and mental). I hope the lady is able to find (or continue with) the help she obviously needs.
