We decided to walk off supper down at the beach in hopes of what looked to be the start of a beautiful sunset, and some closer otters. Alas we found neither as a thick bank of heavy clouds rolled over the setting sun. The otters were drifting in huge numbers out in the kelp bed sleeping. The air was cool, and the twilight beach was a lovely view. Rock outcroppings with holey spots in them sported tide pools with anemones and shells. On the drive down there were about 9 deer, all at various houses 2 feet from the street munching. One was a great big buck with full horns looking at me as he lazily munched some succulents.
