We did our best to help Moeng Gaborone United official has revealed that it is true they have terminated Bakang Moengs contract. His new contract was still under 6 months probation. So, we exercised the termination clause. The player has taken us to the Players Union, and court of labour, for unfair dismissal. We have been doing our best to help the player to recover. We paid for his medical bills as well as his school fees, at Botho College, hoping he will recover. We gave him full support. We were advised by medical practitioners at Potchefstroom High Performance Center that he is risking his career as his injury is not yet healed. They advised us to take him to Rustenburg High Performance Center, as they are the specialists in that area. The 30 days recovery program will cost between R15 000 to R21 000. A certain doctor here in Botswana, gave Moeng a medical report, clearing him fit to play again. We were all shocked by SA medical doctors. We discussed the issue with the player and everything was fine. As the club, we felt that we are spending a lot of money, but not happy with the services we get. We then advised the player to apply for unpaid leave, so that he can freely attend to the program. The club also promised to loan him the money, which he will pay back without any charges. We tried to give him options, because we care about him. Unfortunately, someone advised him to take us to Players Union. You guys should also consider both sides of the story. We tried to help out, because he was at work when he got injured. We should give our players the right advice. It is clear that the player was misled, he said. The official continued, Once again let me use this opportunity to share our structure with our people. Our board at Soccer Dynamic(our commercial wing) consists of Nicolas Zackem(Director), Romeo Benjamin(member), Luxon Lekokoto(member), Anderson Samu(member) and BJ Phaphane, who is our project manager. The Board was chosen by the Director as the majority shareholder. We also have the Executives, who are running day to day club activities. These people were voted in by the general membership of Gaborone United. They are Proffessor Nkomazana (Club Chairman), Herbert Letsebe(secretary) and Kagiso Rantswaneng (Treasurer). We also have Tymon Katlholo (club president). There are other sub committees within the club. The two committees always meet on monthly basis to update each other. Other than that, everything that I read and hear on media is not true about Gaborone United, he concluded.
