We didnt want to tell people we were adopting until we got the baby, because weve had adoptions fail before (mostly birthmom changing her mind), so weve been waiting. Now, bio grandma has decided to sue for custody, and weve lost another one. It just seems wrong not to mourn the loss of our daughter Evelyn Rose. Shes due in 8 days, and instead of getting ready to go see her be born, Im sitting here missing a baby Ive never seen, but already loved. Cancelling the cloth diaper order, putting away the things that were going to be hers. My arms and my heart ache. Evie was loved by us as soon as we were chosen for her. The letter from the birthmom, while apologetic and loving, almost makes it seem worse. And, she said they will keep the name we chose for her, which almost makes me mad. That was OUR name, for OUR baby.
