We do homechecks, no its ands or butts about it. We do not Skype homes or accept only pictures. We require an impartial inspection, which means we wont accept a family members word that your house checks out. We dont care if you have dishes in the sink or dust bunnies in the corner or if you have a weeks load of laundry piled up and muddy floors. We do not believe that cleanliness is next to dogliness. We do home checks for a number of reasons, one of them is to look at the entire environment including neighbors and other obstacles that might interfere with the dogs adjustment to his new home. Another is to look for potential hazards that you might not notice because of your familiarity with your surroundings. And there are lots of other reasons that we would gladly discuss with you if you want to question our policy. Please though, do not submit an application if you have any aversions to inviting us over to your home. We are volunteer organization and processing your application takes a lot of time and can be frustrating when at the last minute you decide you dont want a home check.
