We do not know exactly how many were killed overall, but few - TopicsExpress

We do not know exactly how many were killed overall, but few whites were ever punished for killing black people in Australia. An exception was in 1838, after a massive outcry and appeal to the King, was the Myall Creek massacre, when the white ringleaders were hung for their shocking crimes against a peaceful group of men, women and children. The last documented hunting of Aboriginal people was in the 1920s, to my knowledge. In all ways, Australia has a black history. In the current bizarre selling of land and property to China, few Aboriginal people have any say at all, much less receiving compensation.
