We dont need more high-polished, perfect people saying pretty - TopicsExpress

We dont need more high-polished, perfect people saying pretty things with 3-points and a poem... or emotional- boastfully outstanding things that get the audience screaming and shouting... yet do nothing to bring them to surrender and service. We dont need more naturally manipulated, altered and enhanced people seeking for the right camera angle... never having fought a battle, never knowing need, never brandishing a true spiritual sword or suit of armor, with no idea how to truly help the hurting, heal the wounded, or cause real demons to flee. We need those... like Christ-- who are willing to step out of comfort, come down from an exalted place, relinquish the royalty of being served and sought after for their reputation and their fame.. and get messy. Willing to walk difficult, painful roads-- because THATS where the difficult and pain-filled people are! Willing to endure loneliness in the valley, danger in the dungeon and pain in the dreary pit-- because thats what lonely, dreary, needy people in valleys and dungeons and pits need! Isa 53:2-4 For He grew up before Him like a tender shoot, And like a root out of parched ground; He has no stately form or majesty That we should look upon Him, Nor appearance that we should be attracted to Him. He was despised and forsaken of men, A man of sorrows and acquainted with grief; And like one from whom men hide their face He was despised, and we did not esteem Him. Surely our griefs He Himself bore, And our sorrows He carried; Yet we ourselves esteemed Him stricken, Smitten of God, and afflicted.… Hebrews 4:14-16 Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. For we do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but One who has been tempted in all things as we are, yet without sin. Therefore let us draw near with confidence to the throne of grace, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need. We need to understand who the true heroes are. True heroes, and world-changers, and way-makers are not those with high-minded attitudes, yet low tolerance for the wounded, dirty, and needy people of this life. True heroes, and world-changers, and way-makers are not those with impressive statistics and awards on the wall, yet no spiritual or tangible evidence to back that up at all. We need those willing to be pressed in-- so the true spirit of Christ can rise up! We need those willing to be crushed to dust in personal motives, attitudes, and personal gain and popularity-- so that real dross and impurities may be abolished instead of polished. Amen now? Where are the true heroes of today? They are in the crucible of Christ watch-- being melted down, and remolded. They are on the Potters Wheel-- enduring testings and trials of their faith and life... that allow the Father to take away and add to such as HE sees fit to save a dieing world. When Jacob truly surrendered to the power and presence of God... revealing to and in him his own natural and manipulative nature, changing him into the true nature and calling of God.... God not only changed his name. He changed his gait. He not only answered to a different call... but he also ceased to walk as naturally tall. For God touched him in such a way... that he never walked the same again. (See Genesis 32) Are you willing to be touched in that same way? Those leaders of the true Tribe of the Lion of Judah risk death in order to free the captives... and walk through Red Seas on dry ground ... only to cross great desert waste lands for years to see to it-- that those who God has come for... finally REACH their Promised Land. Endurance. Faithfulness. Humbleness. Power. Surrender. Willingness to go through the storms... to pull others out IN that same storm, who dont know the WAY out. Be one of Gods true Heroes to a lost and needy world... Love you all. Believe in you. Kim:)
