We dont often use this space to talk about stuff in the personal - TopicsExpress

We dont often use this space to talk about stuff in the personal lives of the Storytegic team. But today were going to share something that is going on. Our Boston team is best represented by our official mascot and best friend, Diamond Selwyn. Diamond is a 60-pound bulldog with a heart of gold and a deep understanding of values and brand. Really. We learn from Diamond every single day. How to be loyal. How to be 100 percent true to who we are. How to get more cookies. (Key to the latter is being simply irresistible.) For the past five days, Diamond has been a patient in the Intensive Care Unit of a veterinary emergency hospital in New Hampshire. She is fighting for her life. And what a fighter she is. So strong, so brave and so determined, despite her age (she is 10 1/2, which is considered very old for a bulldog). As with everything in life, we dont know how this is going to work out. Hopefully well soon be reporting that the spiritual center of our agency is back on all four feet and directing matters at hand in her (self-appointed) role as Queen/Diva. But that may not be the case. We share this for three reasons. Three things we might all choose to remember more often: First, in the end, its about love. We might win awards or stand on stages and hear applause or receive a bonus. All nice. All very nice. And, nothing -- n-o-t-h-i-n-g -- matters more than love. The connections we forge, the relationships we build and nurture and maintain, the compassion we feel and share. All of that is made possible by and with love. Second, life can change on a dime. We want to work on remembering to make the most of our days. To observe, to revel, to wonder at what is, frankly, a miracle: that we are alive in the world. And finally, lets all take a moment to think about the support and care and friendship we receive on a daily basis. It is there. It is real. It is sustaining. Thank you to everyone who sends this OUR way -- new friends, old friends, clients, potential clients, somebody elses clients who just happens to like Storytegic. Thank you all. To Diamond. The struggle continues, yes, but so does the learning.
