We dont owe them anything. We dont owe Citibank. We dont owe Bank of America. We dont owe Guvcorp. We dont have to believe in the magical power of money. Think about it, why do most people on the planet owe their lifes blood to the banks? Is the fact that former colonies now owe their colonizers billions just a funny coincidence? We need to decolonize our minds. Debt, rather than popular will, is the governing principle of our societies, through the devastating austerity policies implemented in the name of debt reduction...It is hard to think of an event that would transform social life as profoundly and rapidly as the emancipation of societies from the constraints of debt.
