We dont want to meddle in anyones business. We dont want to impose our beliefs on anyone. What we do is our faith and we love it as much as you do yours. And thus we ask - WHY are our pilgrimages an easy target for radical forces in our country ? Whyre we constantly under attack ? In a country that claims to be secular, its the so called minority thats present everywhere to lead the people to violence and chaos. Amarnath yatra has time and again been opposed by radical forces in Kashmir and though they cant stop it in its entirety (yet), they make sure some untoward incident happens that discourages the pilgrims and scares them away for the want of their familys safety. Now what happens when the state government turns a blind eye to the safety of innocent pilgrims ? - a forced scuffle that leads to burning of all bhandaras and tents in Baltal area of the route. The police watched as a group of radicals carnaged the entire area. Its only after the CRPF guards intervened that the situation was brought to some control. However the local police was quick to arrest the CRPF guards as well. As if government apathy and the lack of bare minimum facilities en-route for Amarnath Pilgrims wasnt enough, they now have to now live under a constant fear of attack and violence. Remember Godhra? doesnt seem like a puzzle. does it ? Yay secularism !
