We dont want to save these tatas! Watching your child suffer with gender dysphoria (see comments) is heartbreaking. Gender dysphoria can effect every aspect of a trans persons life.... Every social interaction, constant fear that the physical characteristics of their body will give them away, debilitating anxiety from NEVER being comfortable in their own body. I have watched my son struggle through this for years. Kaleb has been binding (see comments) for over 2 years now. Binding is uncomfortable and can have lifelong complications. Everyone involved with Kalebs care has agreed that its time for top surgery (see comments). Top surgery can help Kalebs outside finally match his inside. No more trying on every shirt to see which one hides his chest best, no more painful binding, no more fear and anxiety... But best of all... No more slouching his shoulders to hide his chest. With top surgery Kaleb will finally be able to stand tall in a body he can finally be proud of and comfortable in. Unfortunately, Kalebs current health insurance doesnt cover top surgery. Top surgery can easily cost $7,000 plus the added expense of traveling. Even with going to college full time and supporting himself with his part time job Kaleb has managed to start saving for top surgery. On his own it will be a long time before he can accomplish this very necessary goal. With a little help he can start standing tall much sooner!
