We drove to San Marino today to revisit a castle that Kelly and I visited during our honeymoon 14 years ago. We were rushed last time as we were on a bus tour so it was nice to have more time in this special place. As an interesting side note, Kelly almost lost here husband at this place last time we were here. I went over to the edge of the castle wall which was just over knee height expecting a terrace or something below but it was the edge of a 1,200 foot cliff to the valley below. I instantly had a case of vertigo and threw myself backwards on the ground to prevent going over. Things are different here in Europe than back in North America, they certainly dont have the same safety standards that we have. A drop like that back home would have 8 foot high plexy glass with barbed wire at the top preventing anyone from getting near it. Thankfully no close calls today. We have been having beautiful weather the last few days. We had a high of 23 yesterday at the coast and 17 today inland. Pictures to follow...
