We endeavour to assist the refugees unethically imprisoned by the Australian government on Nauru, Christmas Island and Manus Island. We started by making long skirts in pretty cotton fabrics for the women on Nauru and Christmas Island. Some have been givento refugees in detention in Broadmeadows, and we are still working on getting them to refugees in offshore detention. Currently we are focussing on helping the refugees who have been settled in the container camp Fly Camp on Nauru, two hours walk from town. We are fundraising to create micro business grants for these refugees. To achieve this we rely on the participation of our generous community and working with other groups. We can comment and share and sign as much as we can to help get these innocent people freed. To share the truth of the matter with our fellow Australians, that SEEKING ASYLUM BY BOAT IS LEGAL. Inevitably our governments torturous policy will crumble. Until that day we will do our best to manifest and supply physical support, and to be part of the wave of compassion increasing momentum in our (fundamentally decent?) country. CLOSE NAURU, MANUS ISLAND, CHRISTMAS ISLAND!
