We failed to post this in a more timely manner, but here you go if you missed it. Stryper performed at one of the biggest rock festivals in Central Europe - Masters of Rock in Vizovice in the Czech Republic. The festival was opened by Lada Krizek and the Kreyson band, pioneers of white metal in the countries of the former so-called Eastern Bloc. And it was to this group that Michael Sweet awarded the Gold Record for the sale of their latest CD and LP, which was called The Return of the King (its cover was painted by Mark Wilkinson, UK; music mastering Andy La Rocque, Sweden). From Lada Krizek, who is the founder and singer of the Kreyson band, Michael Sweet received a rare edition of the Bible which was illustrated by an artist and poet, Bohumil Reynek, from the Czech Republic who was persecuted by the Nazi as well as the communist regimes.
