We finalized our Congressional staff this week. I would like to thank our Transitional Team for the many hours of interviews and discussion. We received dozens of resumes and Im grateful for everyone who applied. Here is our official Congressional team: DC Personnel: Scott Luginbill Scott is a North Carolina native. He worked with us on the campaign and has almost a decade of Capitol Hill experience, in both the House and Senate. Scott will serve as our Chief of Staff and split time between Washington and North Carolina. Dwayne Carson From Morganton, Dwayne has spent years working with both conservative think tanks in Washington--such as Heritage Action--and serving members of the North Carolina Republican delegation on Capitol Hill. He has been the Executive Director of the Center for Racial Equality since 2013. His policy experience and commitment to constituent service will help us immediately. Dwayne is joining as our Legislative Director. Ryan Walker (no relation) Previously serving with Rep. Howard Coble, Ryan is from Greensboro and will help smooth the transition between offices. Ryans expertise in judiciary, immigration, national security, and budget issues will be very valuable for our team as he continues as a Legislative Assistant. Joel Heimbach Joel is a graduate of UNC and Campbell law school and worked on our campaign this fall. He is bright and energetic, and we are thrilled to have him on our team. Joel is also from North Carolina and will be working with us as a Legislative Assistant. Katie Sessoms A fixture on our campaign, Katie endeared herself to our volunteers and our staff because of her joyfulness and resourcefulness. Katie has strong administrative abilities and will be our Office Manager and Scheduler. Kate Disbrow Kate will serve as our Communications Director. She hails from Georgia and has most recently served as Press Secretary and Office Manager on Capitol Hill. Kate has a strong history in communications that includes extensive experience with social media, graphic design and website administration. Grace Hilliard Also part of the campaign team, Grace is from High Point and attended Liberty University. Grace has a great spirit and will be joining our team in Washington DC as Staff Assistant. District Staff: Julie Emmons Julie has had a long career in Education, including a decade as Adjunct Faculty at Elon University. She is a longtime advocate for pro-life causes and disabilities rights. Shes served the GOP in various leadership capacities and was our campaign manager for most of this past year. She brings a passion for North Carolina and is a native of Alamance County. Julie will serve as our District Director. Janine Osborne Janine has been a fixture in Representative Cobles office for 30 years, and has agreed to stay on with us to help ensure the highest standard of constituent service. In her new role as Director of Constituent Services, she will be instrumental in training our team and continuing the excellent constituent service throughout the 6th District. Brad Langston Another of Representative Cobles staff, Brad is familiar with the district and understands how to serve the people. He is also an expert in Veteran’s affairs. Brad is from the Triad and worked for Rep. Virgina Foxx. as well. We are honored to have Brad working out of our Greensboro office. Jerome Malloy Jerome is from Greensboro and has a strong background in Business/Financial Management and Office Administration. He was most recently the Program Coordinator for the Welfare Reform Liaison Project, Inc. under Odell Cleveland. Jerome also works with United Community Development Corporation and has a heart for public service that will serve the 6th District well. Jerome joins our team as Constituent Liaison. Olga Perkins As a schoolteacher and campaign volunteer, we know Olga has the tools and the heart to be a fantastic caseworker and representative in our community. Olga has a history of working with people from all walks of life. We are honored to have her join us as a Constituent Liaison. Kyle Hall Kyle is from Stokes County and is a veteran of the General Assembly and has experience in both local and statewide campaigns. He is a strong conservative and will be responsible for engaging local advocacy groups and constituent interest groups. A gifted speaker as well, Kyle will serve as our Field Director.
