We finally returned from our trip to N. Ga to attend a wedding. We had a great time. Drove up in rain on Friday and returned Sunday in glorious Florida sunshine. My Gators made it to the Final Four next weekend in Dallas and my Gator baseball team swept No. 8 LSU in baseball. Monday morning headlines say that Gator Growl is being moved from Florida Field to Flavet Field for the first time in 82 years. They cite disappointing ticket sales and lack of enthusiasm as the reasons. Back in the Stone Age, when I was a student there, the comedy acts and music were very good and foul language was rare. You could take your children. I notice over the last twenty years or so, that some of the comedy acts could not utter a complete sentence without a curse word. The times they are a-changing. Meanwhile I still have trouble understanding why Charlie Crist is the Democratic candidate for Governor and even worse, why any rational or sane person would even consider him as a possibility to lead our state. But then, we re-elected a person to lead our country with no viable experience as a leader and no noticeable record of accomplishment in his first four years. Remember Florida voted for HIM, therefore, why should we expect any difference in selecting a Governor.
