We finished Perrys appointment at Mayo Clinic and will head back home tomorrow. The Dr. and therapists addressed the issues he has had recently. Because of his ALS he is fulltime on a walker to keep him safe from falling any more and it helps conserve energy which is crucial for an ALS person. It has become very difficult for him to speak partly due to muscle loss..but for him its his lungs. We were given some tips to help..a couple new machines and a Rx for an eyegaze computer that will help him communicate down the road. I am to grateful for having the accessability to Mayo. They are cutting edge for any treatments available and the knowledge to help us stay a step or two ahead of this monster disease so Perry can stay independent as long as possible. So he can continue to ROLL TIDE to all the home games again this year!! We love each and everyone of you!
