We found pieces of this wreckage while drilling a well in Niger. We lost several people on this flight. Francois Leca, an Esso (Exxon) Operations Supervisor on the rig found a wingtip intact and set it vertically in concrete in the desert as a monument to our guys. We added bronze plaques with their names on it, then crew member names, I cannot remember if we included all passengers names. The rock additions were done by someone else (to reduce wind/sand erosion). I suppose the wingtip had to be reset, due to constant wind erosion of the sand. Im very proud of this monument (because we drillers started it).
