We found the owners of Hercules, the lab that wandered into our yard. Multco Animal control actually does have a way to search tag numbers on their site (amid all the other blather on their site I missed it the first time.) We took him with us for a BBQ at our neighbors a block away where he had a blast playing with some dog friends where his family picked him up after one of the guests found the search options on the website. (YAY!) He was one happy boy when he saw them at the door, and we were so very happy he was going home. His owner said he had jumped the 4 fence after an illegal bottle rocked fell into their yard and exploded so Herculese was out wandering around the neighborhood after losing his bearings. A happy ending that on our busy street could have ended very differently for this sweet dog.
