We go for Pizzas.. Few of us take Pork and Beef. We stopped travelling in carts but in high end cars. We chat Bhel Pooris. We stopped bringing ourselves with domestic and pet animals. We banned child marriage. We started lavishing living-together pattern. Forgot natural food, nature medications. We throw away the elders out of our homes. Many of us dont know more than 15 to 20 Thirukkurals. We are not even using pure Tamil languages. We celebrate Tamil festivals only in front of TV screens. We satisfy ourselves with Maanaada Mayilaada. We permit Khusboo like persons giving lectures about Tamil culture. But why this hype on Dhoti? Do we feel that Dhoti is the only symbol of Tamil culture and Tamil Pride. Totally ridiculous. The clubs can have their own rules. You cant flout the norms prescribed. There are voices to pass an Ordinance to regulate the dress code for club entry. But you cant do it. Even if the State passes an Ordinance in this regard, it will be quashed by Courts. What happened to Jallikattu Ordinance? The same point of Tamil culture was mooted during the process of making a law allowing Jallikkattu. It was quashed, fortunately. Tamil Pride is not in the Dhoti, but its inside the Dhoti. I mean, its in the heart. Its in the attitude. Tamil pride nu solli scene podura orutharukkaavadhu Pathuppaattu, Ettuthogai, 1332 kural, Aganaanooru, Puranaanooru theriyuma? Atleast to a single person, who are protesting for Dhoti? Ponga... Poi Pizza saapttu, coke kudichuttu, kuppura padunga. Society Act la register pannina Associations and Clubsa onnum panna mudiyaadhu.... Presidentaa irundhaalum Guruvayoor kovilukkulla poganum na, u ve to strip ur shirts down... Obey rules... Keep the Tamil Pride in the cup board... Its the safest place.
