We go on vacation tomorrow! Its kind of strange to think its a vacation, since this whole experience has been feeling more like a vacation than real life, but daily Spanish school and home school is hard work and we are excited to take a break, explore a new area of Panama and get out of the daily rain. We are going to Bocas del Toro with the Smith family. Its a very popular destination because of the beaches (not sure they are traditional beaches but it is definitely on the water) and my very limited research tells me that there is a lot of wildlife viewing (both in the sea and in the jungle) a chocolate farm and tons of water activities. The last few days Daniel and I have been working a lot on our next two big decisions in Panama: a car and a place to live in Pedasi. Neither decision is happening easily nor clearly. We have options, but all our options have disadvantages. Size, price, location, convenience, time, etc. Everything we are finding for both of those decisions has some drawbacks, so now we are grappling with which of the drawbacks we are willing to live with. And we are doing a lot of this from afar - pictures, emails, discussions, but not actual personal experiences. Itll work out eventually but in the meantime its hard and frustrating work. A few days in the sun should help!
