We got great news today! We heard from Dr. Othmans office and the MRI was unchanged. She restated what she and the radiologists have said before....... this is not recurrence! Of course I would prefer the spot not to be there at all, but this is great news and well take it. Not too long after I got that news, Dr. Katz called to go over the EEG results. He said it wasnt completely normal, but he didnt expect it to be with all her brain has been through. He said there was no sign of a seizure and nothing to worry about at this time unless she starts having problems. She will see him again in Nov. :) Kyle had picked Karis and Emerson up after school since I was still at work so I called him to share the happy news. I went to pick Braylin up from preschool and as we were walking to the car to leave, she said, Look, mommy! Rainbow! Rainbow! Sure enough, there was a small rainbow up in the clouds. It was surprising to see since it had only sprinkled a little, but no heavy rain. The last time I saw a rainbow was when we were told Karis MRI results showed recurrence and then today, another rainbow. I just know God was telling me, See I told you everything was ok. I vaguelly remember Dr. Othman telling me the same thing, but its so hard to stop my mind from all the what ifs! :) My sister and brother-n-law took us out to dinner to celebrate and when I finally had a chance to hug my sweet Karis, before I could ask her if she heard the great news she said, Mommy! Im cancer free! Yes, sweetheart, you are. Shes been telling this all along. Thank you all for being a tremendous support during this roller coaster ride. Thank you never seems enough to express how full our hearts are with gratitude. All your time, words, prayers, pictures, cards, gifts, shares, and support for our Karis is such an amazing gift.
