We got in a highly collectible dead-center, mid-century Time - TopicsExpress

We got in a highly collectible dead-center, mid-century Time Magazine from January 2, 1950 with Winston Churchill on the cover. Were selling it for $9.99 (way less than online--and its in VG condition). Even better than Winston of the front cover is the Camel cigarette ad on the back cover that features Lovely Socialite Mrs. Thomas W. Phipps. Camels back then were a health-enhancing, throat-soothing life savers. Especially convincing is the testimonial at the bottom of the ad from bobsledder Francis Tyler. We googled Francis just to see how things played out for him. He died of a heart attack a few years after this ad was published. From wiki: Francis William Tyler (December 11, 1904 - April 11, 1956) was an American bobsledder who competed in the late 1940s. Competing in two Winter Olympics, he won the gold medal in the four-man event at St. Moritz in 1948. After the end of each bobsleigh run, Tyler was known for lighting up a cigarette to smoke, even being in an advertisement for Camel cigarettes.
