We got talking to an elderly Scottish man in specs the other night. He seems to specialize in whisky, and claims to have worked at an Aberdeenshire distillery. Was very interesting to see Specs having a Scotch whisky guy on the premises selling whisky. Quite a smart idea really. I dont think he believed me when I mentioned that Pappas Bros Steakhouse are selling a Bowmore 40 year old at an incredible $600 a glass. Go in and have a look at their bar says I, see for yourself, definitely a talking point. I could see this being worked into an anecdote when Im back in Scotland and talking to the lads who are enjoying their snifters. Last time Katie and I were there we shelled out $200 for a couple of mediocre steaks and baked potatoes! As a rule, generally, I just wouldnt entertain a place like that, but it was a special occasion.
