We got that dreaded phone call today: Dixie, the little black lab mix puppy, is again homeless. A.S.K. adopted her to a great family, but Dixie is exhibiting lots of anxiety while left alone during the day. They refused training help, and opted to give her back to us. Based on what has been described, she is just really insecure, VERY exuberant and wants to play, play, play-- and shes really needy and demanding about it--throwing herself at people for that love and attention. Dixie is sweet. She is loving. And we are out of options. Our rescue partners dont even want her because she simply does not do well in a shelter-setting, kenneled. Any foster based rescues that would be interested, please contact us 877-596-7776 ASAP. A.S.K. thinks a good fit would be a patient family--perhaps with someone home a large portion of the day. Another dog to play with would be great. Dixie also really likes kids. She instantly gravitated towards the child in her former home. Shes still a puppy and has not had enough stability to be properly evaluated. And she certainly doesnt deserve to be killed. Were confident that combined--all of us, or one of us, can find a match for her! Please share. Fully vetted.
