We got the family Colour TV January 1977, a Philips K26 series set,it did not come with a Remote Control but had feather touch controls. I was already in Primary school then and felt like the coolest kid in the neighborhood. This afternoon, my 8year old son took some pictures and asked me, do you think I should use one of the picture as my dp? Totally blew me out of my seat.. As parents, our language of instruction must evolve or we disconnect from our children that is if we understand the importance of being around for such candid moments I believe its expedient for parents to understand that human theories and parenting textbooks are bound to expire with each generation however the One Who created the marital institution and gave us the means and commandment to be fruitful and to have children gave us instructions on what and how to do. Principal to all is the injunction train up a child in the way he/she should go and when grown up will not depart from it. This implies that parents have the ability and grace to plant future path seeds in their babies . Why some think a paid staff will do this on their behalf beats me? Invest time and prayers in the lives of your children from infancy so that you do not spend your retirement managing the lives of 50yr old babies.
