We got this note from our landlord, and were happy they will be cracking down on those who park where they should not (and were sure all of our customers take care to park only in striped spaces): We continue to experience situations at night where vehicles are parking in driving lanes, designated fire routes and blocking fire exit doors. This creates critical problems for emergency and fire vehicles when attempting to respond to emergency situations inside the Hangar, the arena, the soccer dome or the Kia Training Ground facilities. Starting this month, we have asked our security contractor to contact the City of Toronto Parking Enforcement office when illegally parked cars are identified. Parking Enforcement staff will write tickets on vehicles not parked within designated parking spaces. Further, vehicles parked in fire access routes and those blocking fire exit doors from buildings may be towed to an off-site location as well as being ticketed.
