We had a Shoreline fridge which we have been pleased with and had no issues. As we are live aboard CCers we wanted a freezer so replaced it with a Shoreline fridge freezer. We have noticed that the freezer does not work continuously and on reading the manual have found out that it stops operating when the boat temperature drops below 16 degrees C. This seems ludicrous to us as most non-marina based boats will suffer temperatures lower than this most nights during the winter. Does anyone have any clever ideas (other than keeping a fire roraring all night long)?
