We had a cat visiting our home every day until yesterday evening. She was pregnant. Yesterday I left the veranda door open when I went out....it was almost dark then. Within a few seconds our dog sprinted off, chased the cat to our backyard and before I knew what had happened I think the dog bit her. When I reached the spot in our backyard I saw the cat helplessly lying in the narrow drain in our backyard, half covered in black mud trembling in fear. I pulled the dog away. I assumed the cat was dying, however, she dragged herself up and walked slowly to the front and sneaked into an small opening below a large pile of unused bamboos and wooden boards. As I shone my torch at her I saw that she was terrified......I wanted to bring her out and examine her but she was out of my reach. I kept hoping she would walk out.....she did while i was gone and I have not seen her since then. I blame myself for all the pain she went through; I shouldnt have left the door open,,,I should have remembered to put the dog in leash. I barely slept through the night. Its been a day and I am still thinking of her, hoping she was not badly hurt. I am so sorry. I wish to see her again.
