We had a good day yesterday - I guess any day you jag a pole, set a new quali record and win your first race for the season has to be up there. Sally was faultless, it was very close, a small margin from my long term nemesis Jim Richards. I have the utmost respect for him. Last weekend I raced his son (Steven) this weekend Jimmy. I think the TCM field has stepped up this year with a few new cars in the field. Now, what did you make of yesterdays V8Supercar racing? More over how about the quali places for both V8Supercar races. How can it be so different? No doubt the story of the weekend/round has to be race two. Great effort in quali by Fab, Scotty was very racy and such a mix of cars at the finish. Spare a thought for young Scotty McLaughlin, he was very fast in race two, sadly he had an electrical issue. Who knows, he might have gone on to their first race win for Volvo. A massive congrats to Lee, Betty, Daniel and Team Erebus - an outstanding result for them, the sport and of course their brand. There were some great results/drives yesterday. The BJR cars were quick, not sure what happen to the Triple Eight cars in race two. I was really pleased for David Wall, a tough, gritty performance, his best career result .... bring it on today! We have our reverse grid race this morning and race three at lunchtime. Then, we can sit back with our feet up for a thrilling afternoon of some exciting racing I reckon. Cheers JB
