We had a good weekend at Callaway Gardens for Wades MS 150 bicycle - TopicsExpress

We had a good weekend at Callaway Gardens for Wades MS 150 bicycle ride and Annie Lynns Jr. Ride. They both rode for Team Red and did a great job! Annie Lynn was so proud of herself for riding 4 miles - she wore her helmet and medal around for the rest of the day on Saturday. This was Wades 10th ride - he rides for his mother who has MS. Its become an annual event for our family that we spend with his mother, her parents and this year her twin sister was able to come! Team Red is lucky to have such a strong, reliable team of cheerleaders! While we were driving to Callaway this weekend, Wade & I were discussing Kendles upcoming birthday in October. We have a party planned, but were talking about how we are struggling a little to create a guest list of her friends. When she went to Challenged Child and Friends, Inc., she had a BFF with similar therapy goals as hers, and she also had several girls who I called her big sisters that LOVED to take care of her! Whenever wed walk into the classroom, there was a chorus of KENDLE!! as her classmates would rush to bring her chair to the circle and sit in circle time with their arm around her. It made us sad to think that Kendle doesnt have that this year. No matter what her therapy goals are, the most important thing to me is that Kendle is able to love (in her own way), and feels loved; so friendships are the most valuable thing I believe we can facilitate for her. Well, God heard us loud and clear! Today, I had the opportunity to eat lunch with Kendle at school. I happened to sit across from her and next to the sweetest little 4 year-old blonde! One of the first sentences out of this little girls mouth was can I come to Kendles house and play? Not much later she asked, can Kendle come to my house and play? All through lunch shed tell me how much Kendle loves her - and let me tell you, this girl knows what shes talking about! Kendle was looking so intently at her with the biggest smile on her face all through lunch! This friend showed me that Kendle would even imitate her head movements. Kendle doesnt take to many people like this except for her sisters, so I know that these two have truly built a bond. Once again I looked like an emotional wreck at school bc my eyes immediately filled up with tears. This little girl is such an angel to our family and an immediate answer to our prayers! Im posting some pictures from the weekend below and a picture of our girls today all decked out in their UGA gear (it was fan day at school today, so Kimber joined in on the theme). Thanks again for checking on our girl!! We are so blessed to have so many people praying for her and we see Gods hand at work in her life!
