We had a great Summer day today! I set up a tent in the living room and brought in the picnic table with umbrella. We pretended the rug was the water and the wood floor was the sandy beach, we played volleyball (at least what the kids consider vb,) the couch was a boat, and the girls were mermaids (the boys were monsters trying to catch the mermaids.) The kids played in the sensory bin of rainbow colored rice. One child threw a couple handfuls across the room, and another child dumped a cupful on top of the first childs head. That helped me decide I was NOT going to bring a bin of sand into the house as I had planned! LOL! We also made a couple Easter crafts. Great day!
