We had a great walk today. 10 people came and enjoyed the 60 degrees weather and walked a bit over a mile. Here is the devotional if you missed today. Week 1 - WATER Water is just as essential for our bodies because it is in every cell, tissue, and organ in your body. Water helps your body function correctly and throughout a normal day you will lose water that need to be replaced. • John 4:14 - but those who drink of the water that I will give them will never be thirsty. The water that I will give will become in them a spring of water gushing up to eternal life.” • Proverbs 5:15 - Drink water from your own cistern, flowing water from your own well. Look to the Genesis story, water was there in the beginning. Water is vital and necessary for our life. Not only does water helps our bodies stay strong and healthy but water is a vehicle for the Holy Spirit. Water also washes away our sins. In order to keep FIT we need to make sure that our bodies have enough water to function. Prayer: Lord God of creation and water, Water is essential for life on earth, not just human life but all life. Water is needed for drinking, cleaning, washing, and making crops grow. Help us to use it wisely and use it to keep our bodies healthy. Thank you for the gift of living water, the Holy Spirit, pouring on our lives. Amen. Experts say that you should drink 8 eight ounce glasses of water each day. This week we encourage you to be aware of the amount of water you consume, create your own goal and work toward reaching it.
