We had a missionary visit our church yesterday. His family is planning on going to the republic of Georgia where most of the population is orthodox. From the presentation, he seemed to suggest that orthodox followers are not saved. After service i asked him why he thinks that way and he replied that the orthodox church is very much old testament, still sacrificing animals, following man made traditions... So i looked him in the eye and said, so you dont consider the orthodox saved? He said no. What do you have to say? From the information i gathered from this page, orthodox christians do follow christ.. Could it be he is just not informed about orthodoxy or could it be that orthodoxy puts on burdens of the people like judaism etc?
