We had a nice day in Fort Worth, spending much of the day in the Stockyards area, called Cow Town. We checked out a few shops, toured the Cowboy Hall of Fame and Museum, enjoyed a great meal, and saw a "staged" cattle drive complete with "drivers" and about 20 to 30 longhorn steers! We then checked out a small air museum at Meacham Field, where the current cover photo was taken about ten years ago! On Sunday I finally got the place right - NAS Fort Worth, formerly known as Carswell Air Force Base. In addition to the grand tour there we stopped at the Texas Botanical Garden and met up with a Model A Ford Club touring the area. We will change hotels on Tuesday closer to the Love Field airport in Dallas as I cannot adjust to the Texas driving and our plane leaves "early" on Wednesday. Lots of photos to be posted upon return.
