We had a very special visit from Australia on Friday. Three Chief Executives from housing associations in Australia came to visit us. They spoke to our tenants Cath, Linda and Stephen at The People Centre in Dunlin Court in Barry and also saw the former Barry Magistrates Court development on Thompson Street. Maree, Geoff and Karen were lovely people and we enjoyed spending the day with them. Geoff Mann Chief Executive of Homes Out West said, “This is such a wonderful opportunity for us to learn about the housing sector in Wales, giving us a greater understanding of the opportunities that lie ahead and to achieve better outcomes for our tenants. Newydd also has rural and semi-rural properties across a vast area which is what we can relate to in our own country. We’re thoroughly enjoying visiting great projects and cant wait to develop our ideas from this journey and share our experiences back in Australia.
