We had a wonderful Veterans Day program / assembly today at Lovelady ISD ! We honored some of our local veterans as well as others not in attendance. Later as I messaged a local veteran I told him that I am so glad we have it every year so kids will never forget the sacrifices made for them. Came home and was watching the news, they were covering the Houston Veterans Day parade. A mother had her kids there. She said she took them out of school today to honor veterans because she thinks its very important that they remember the sacrifices made for them. Again I am so glad our school thinks its important enough to honor these brave Americans and teach our kids to honor the veterans as well as some schools dont.
