We had an interesting situation at my house the other day. After I - TopicsExpress

We had an interesting situation at my house the other day. After I posted my offer to give a free ebook to anyone who wrote a review of one of my books, my darling daughter - knowing how important reviews are and also out of pure enthusiasm for those books of mine that she has read (she has gushed about them to me, and I hope she isnt lying!) - went ahead without my knowledge and posted two reviews on Amazon. I only saw them when I logged onto the website to check out another review that someone else had sent me a link to. This put me in a bit of a dilemma. Of course I was delighted that she should do this, and touched that she should go ahead without being specifically asked. On the other hand, I knew that a lot of people who follow this page would recognize her name and perhaps think that, oh, here I was asking friends and family to post reviews for me. I was concerned that, by the simple act of posting her reviews, she might detract from the value of all the rest. So after much thought and discussion around here, we agreed that she should remove her reviews from the site. I guess what I am trying to say is that the integrity of the reviews that are posted about my books is tremendously important to me. So I want to stress that, if you do take advantage of my offer, it does NOT oblige you in any way to write a fantastic, glowing review. I would much rather have an honest review than a good one that is insincere. And on that note, my offer is still good until the end of November - free ebook if you post a review of one of my books, nudge nudge ;)) amzn.to/1vG2sOi
