We had another good night at Spartan Speedway on Friday taking on the strongest field of sprinters of the year. Unfortunately our brake issues came back and we fought a severe engine miss most of the night. The car was at its worst in qualifying so it was another poor qualifying effort. I won my heat race after we got the engine running clean and earned the pole position for the feature. Despite the ongoing brake issues I ran well in the chaotic feature. I was running 2nd when we restarted with 6 laps to go. I was hoping to make a run at the win over the closing laps, but after the green fell I realized I was running out of fuel and the engine was stumbling. I held on to finish 2nd on fumes. It was a great effort by the whole team on Friday night. We need to go back to the drawing board to resolve our ongoing brake issue. We have 2 weeks off to get it figured out before we head back to Spartan on June 28th. Put it on your calendar!
