We had said our good-byes to our friends and loved ones before setting out to the South Pacific. Everyone was up on the terrace and in front of El Faro bidding us a safe voyage,...thank you to everyone for that. We were getting into the groove, our main sail and jib up but on the third day out our rigging failed. Reluctantly, we took the sails down and began motoring to the Galapagos for repairs; we did that for nearly a day before we thought better of it and began heading back. A week after wed left, we were again coming back into Bahia, and again, there were our friends and neighbors on the terrace welcoming us home. At this point we dont know what our plans are next but we are thankful to be home and grateful to have so many people that love us.
