We had the inaugural function of the workshop today evening and followed by dinner. The chief guest was the Country Director of Diakonia in Burkina Faso. He spoke on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in Burkina Faso. Burkina Faso is rich in minerals and hence, many foreign mining are in the country. I raised the question of Development for whom - for people or for companies and ethical considerations in CSR. I also shared the new Companies Act with CSR Rules of India with the participants.
