We have a local Pay It Forward FB Site. A young single mum, has on numerous occasions had her post for outdoor play equipment answered, only to have unscrupulous people PMing the donors and offering small amounts of cash for it, so she hasnt received anything. So today I offered to build her Daughter a one off themed Cubby House. As she loves Birds it will be built to look like a bird house with colourful cut out birds on it, and a built in play kitchen, and provision for when she is older for part of it to be turned into an aviary. Mum was over the moon, and within minutes I had PMs from 2 paying customers looking for cubby houses. I build them from reclaimed and recycled materials rather than them going to the tip. I can now use the money from the paid ones to allow me to collect more materials and do some more free ones for deserving families. Nice to see that Paying It Forward payed back straight away! ;)
